July's tasting was hosted by club member David and focused on showcasing some great grain whiskies.
I wasn't able to be there to provide the usual round-up, but David has kindly shared the presentation he gave with details of all the drams, which has lots of information about each of them, including tasting notes. I've embedded it below.
There were no fewer than seven:
1. No age statement Table Whisky from North British bottled by Port of Leith
2. A 30yo Highland single grain, The Targe, bottled for Lidl
3. A Duncan Taylor Octave bottling of a 16yo Invergordon
4. A 28-year-old Cameronbridge, bottled under the Vintage Malt Whisky Company's Cooper's Choice label
5. 26yo Port Dundas, from Murray McDavid's Mission Gold
6. A 31yo from the silent Cambus distillery, bottled by James Eadie
7. A bonus dram, a 7-year-old Loch Lomond, bottled by Murray McDavid
And in the dram of the night voting, it was the bonus Loch Lomond which took it, with no fewer than 12 votes. The Cooper's Choice Cameronbridge was second, with the Duncan Taylor Invergordon third.
Thanks, David!
